Web services work great and we depend on them. They work so well that it is easy to forget our essential services are hosted on a network shared with bad guys. To someone like me - who lives with the responsibility of keeping systems running - it is never far from my mind. I do not brag about Web security because I know how quickly things can happen. That being said, we've kept our online systems running continuously for well over a decade.
